About the role

We are currently seeking a Warehouse position in Pasadena, Texas. The Warehouseman, under supervision will assist in warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of the facility for storing and distributing equipment and tools. The warehouse worker will assist in receiving, inventory, store, and issue materials, equipment and other construction related items in a warehouse, storage area, and/or lie down the yard.

 Position Responsibilities 

  • Reviews departmental daily workload and performs accordingly with team members. 
  • Performs operations according to sound operating principles and Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare required forms and various documentation for approval. 
  • Handle Shipping and Receiving orders and ensure accuracy of paperwork.
  • Responsible for inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Oversees maintenance and/or repair of departmental equipment.
  • Responsible for the department’s housekeeping.
  • Ensures the accuracy of the department’s paperwork through research, resolution, and reconciliation of any discrepancies in system used for inventory.
  • Other miscellaneous duties or special projects assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Required Qualifications 

  • Must have 2 years of experience working for an industrial contractor or in the petrochemical industry.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to complete an accurate count of items received.
  • Must have effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively.
  • Must be familiar with basic computer operations.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • The ability to work in a team environment coordinating with other departments is needed.
  • Requires the use of computers at the data entry level with ability to develop reports.
  • Ability to apply advanced skills appropriate for the position.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. 
  • Valid TWIC card or able to obtain one.
  • Must have general knowledge. 
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Preferred Additional Qualification 

  • Welding experience
  • Repair of electrical and pneumatic tools

 

Physical Requirements

  • Employees will be required to adhere to substantial amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Will talk and hear to communicate.
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. 
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
