Purpose of Job
The Operations Coordinator will function with a primary responsibility to administer the Management of Change (MOC) process using site-specific procedures and update the information to ensure changes are managed safely and effectively. In addition to ensuring adherence to our MOC process, the Operations Coordinator will participate/conduct audits, lead ISO compliance efforts and manage the Sasol Action Management (SAM) system for the operating unit(s) assigned.
Key Accountabilities
- Works to ensure a safe working environment for employees and environmental compliance for areas of responsibility
- Update / revise all compliance-related documents
- Work with various disciplines to ensure unit compliance on MOC change approvals and PSSRs.
- Works with the Governance, Assurance & Risk and Safety, Health & Environmental departments to maintain the accuracy of compliance materials for unit(s)
- Participate in the safety audit program
- Other duties as assigned, i.e. participating in post-incident audits, developing detailed reports, etc.
- Regular interaction to ensure compliance
Formal Education/ Working Experience
- High School/ High School Diploma or similar with 3+ years experience in industrial, manufacturing or technical support functions or
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field
Required Personal/Professional Skills
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Efficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Influencing without authority

- High focus on safety and compliance
- Aptitude for detail-oriented work
