Security Supervisor Job Description

Reports To

The Security Supervisor will report to the Regional General Manager.

Job Overview

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Security Department.  Responsible for protecting the assets, both tangible and intangible, while ensuring a safe environment for both customers and employees.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Directs the activities of Security Officers.
• Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Security Command Center.
• Prepares daily paperwork as required.
• Communicate information to Security personnel in a timely and efficient manner. 
• Schedules and coordinates Security activities. 
• Continually promotes positive public image.
• Acts to protect and safeguard assets of patrons, employees and the company.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Military/law enforcement background experience preferred.

2-3 years security experience preferred.

Certified in CPR/First Aid and/or EMT preferred.

Ability to obtain a Nevada State Gaming Card.

Valid Nevada State Drivers license and insurable driving record.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Working knowledge of cash handling and knowledge of State of Nevada Gambling regulations and rules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment.  Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more.  Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold).  Must be 21 years of age or older.
