Job Description

DUTIES: Contribute to a team responsible for supporting the architecture, design, development, qualification, and deployment of applications consistent with product and technical roadmaps; write scripts using Python; deploy and integrate software using CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Ansible, and Salt; provide application operation support; work in an Agile environment; use Unix operating system; conduct performance management and forecasting using public cloud computing systems, including AWS; work  with  engineering  project  management  and  principle  engineers  to deliver applications that meet or exceed product requirements, project schedules, and reliability; develop and apply performance and bandwidth models for interactive applications to document network impact; work with the product development and operations teams to define technical requirements to accompany existing  product  and  operation requirements;  design and  develop use  cases  in support  of  the  technical requirements; transform technical requirements into architecture; define and document a detailed design to meet technical requirements and architecture; assist in vendor technical selection and management, including providing input to specifications and vendor evaluation; interface with outside teams on the development of internal third party software to support the detailed designs; interface with company test teams to validate company test plans and procedures; work with development, integration and test teams to ensure product quality; support operations by providing deployment and sustained engineering support for all responsible systems and technologies; and diagnose and resolve escalated field issues.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience writing scripts using Python; deploying and integrating software using CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Ansible, and Salt; providing application operation support; of which one (1) year includes working in an Agile development environment; using Unix operating system; and conducting performance management and forecasting using public cloud computing systems, including AWS.
