Department Details

This position is a 8am-5pm clinic shift with an every third weekend obligation and there is a holiday rotation. Weekend hours will be 6am-2:30pm again every 3rd weekend. This position can also be a Senior Lab Assistant or Pathology Technician with the same hours listed previously. This position is specimen collection and phlebotomy with minor cleaning duties.

Responsibilities include collecting and preparing specimens. Full time day shift.

Job Description

Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment. The hours for this position are 8am-5pm with every 3rd weekend in the hospital setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.



Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
