The Business Manager, Xbox Store, is a key position, partnering closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless operations that enable our team to deliver on its mission. In this role, you’ll manage essential business processes, including fiscal planning, compliance oversight, and culture-building initiatives, while supporting leadership in executing high-priority objectives. Your ability to anticipate needs, remove obstacles, and create clarity will set the stage for Xbox’s continued growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Build and manage the Rhythm of Business (ROB), ensuring the team stays aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead planning efforts, orchestrating priorities and workloads across multiple initiatives with clarity and precision.
  • Organize meeting agendas, coordinate logistics, and facilitate timely follow-up on action items. 

Lead Fiscal Year Planning

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute seamless fiscal year planning processes.
  • Ensure alignment across stakeholders to drive effective execution plans.

Manage Budget & Expenses

  • Partner with Finance and the Chief of Staff to lead the annual budgeting process, aligning financial plans with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee financial processes, including forecasting, discretionary expenses, headcount management, and purchase orders, ensuring spending stays on track throughout the fiscal year.

Foster Culture & Community

  • Plan and execute engaging team experiences to build connection and morale.
  • Monitor team health through tools like Microsoft Employee Signals, addressing opportunities for improvement.
  • Support culture initiatives that promote inclusivity and collaboration.

Streamline Travel & Event Coordination

  • Plan and oversee end-to-end travel logistics, ensuring budgets and itineraries are well-managed.
  • Coordinate organizational events and meeting logistics to enhance team productivity.

Ensure Compliance

  • Maintain adherence to Microsoft’s operational policies, including SharePoint and Teams access, external staff processes, and procurement requirements.
  • Drive compliance training completion rates and uphold a healthy compliance scorecard for the team.

Lead Special Projects

  • Support cross-team initiatives and develop impactful content for internal communications.
  • Tackle evolving business needs with a proactive and innovative approach.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 3+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in gaming industry.
  • 2+ years experience managing team culture plans.
