The Commercial Installation Lead performs installation of commercial laundry equipment in laundromats, apartments, hotels, athletic facilities, etc. Position entails programming and installation of washer and dryer systems to commercial customer specifications and training on proper equipment operation, repair and basic troubleshooting.Estimated Salary: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install and remove washing machines, dryers and venting.
- Work with sales team and operations manager to plan and fulfill service orders.
- Perform minor laundry room repairs such as cleaning air vents, changing outlets, repairing drain systems, and changing faucets and gas pipes.
- Install washer and dryers by grouting, grinding, mounting, connecting fill hoses, drainage and electrical lines.
- Maintain personal appearance standards described in the Personal Appearance Policy.
- Attend all required departmental/branch meetings.
- Meet or exceed the standards outlined in the standard operating procedures manual for ride evaluations and location check/counter verification evaluation ratings.
- Complete all the required training-program exams listed in the standard operating policies and procedure manual.
- Follow Company vehicle maintenance and safety guidelines.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-2 years of appliance installation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of standard plumbing and electricity practice.
- Working knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting and operation.
- Basic carpentry experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience installing single & 3 phase electrical equipment.
- Experience using and identifying hand tools (metal shears, drill motors, screwdriver, pliers, wrenches, etc.).
- Ability to read and comprehend road maps, safety manual, operating and maintenance instructions, and company policy and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine field activity reports and correspondence.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move 200 pounds using lifting equipment and lifting techniques.
- Ability to travel 2-3 nights per month.
