About the role

Summary:

The role is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and support regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audits and statutory reporting. This role requires a strong technical accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position reports directly to the Vice President Corporate Controller and is located in Lebanon, TN.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities within established deadlines
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, AP, AR, fixed assets and payroll
  • Responsible for preparation of Product and Customer profitability reporting
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS, company policies, and internal controls
  • Assist with external and internal audits, including responding to auditor inquiries
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes, documentation, and controls
  • Responsible for carrying out allocated month-end tasks
  • Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations for allocated accounts
  • Providing coverage and support to the broader finance team with EOM deliverables as required
  • Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships to promote coordinated financial management practices across the organization
  • Work collaboratively as part of a close team to ensure deadlines are met including providing cover during absences as required
  • Assist with NetSuite improvements and accounting system enhancements
  • Flexibility to work with Global Tritium internal stakeholders, occasionally performing duties in other time zones
  • Provide assistance and support with ad hoc projects
  • Participate in driving continuous improvement and automation of financial processes.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, payroll and operations teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency, or international environment preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite or other cloud-based ERP systems
  • Proficient in using office applications e.g. Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Committed to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and to work successfully in a team and independently
