Senior Systems Analyst

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst / Engineer to support the NASA Langley Research Center’s Center Operations Directorate (COD). The position is responsible for the analysis of various systems and designs solutions to complex computer applications.  This position requires competence in all phases of systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods and knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, and the regulations, structure, techniques, and management practices of one or more subject-matter areas. Since input data usually come from diverse sources, this role is responsible for recognizing probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources, and produces innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides team leadership to the developer/database team

• Functions as the primary administrator of FCMS, EMS, EMIS, VIRTUAL Library, Performance Dashboard, Web Help Desk and MISSL. 

• Responsible for overseeing the installation, configuring and debugging of computer hardware

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field with 8-10 years of experience working in infrastructure operations

• Ability to obtain a NASA Public Trust clearance

• Creativity to imagine innovative, effective new solutions and designs.

• Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information, training new staff members, and communicating about solutions to complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure operations experience across multiple disciplines (OS, hypervisor, storage) with competent understanding of hybrid cloud service operations

• Advanced understanding of ITSM processes and experience with agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe using technologies like Jira or ServiceNow

• Advanced understanding of DevSecOps concepts and Site Reliability Engineering

• AWS Developer Associate certification

• Azure Fundamentals certification

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
