Global E-commerce is a content E-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. Global E-commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live E-commerce, short video content E-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

E-Commerce’s Governance Platform team is a global team responsible for ensuring a safe and trustworthy marketplace for not only our buyers, but also our sellers and creators. We constantly work on areas such as risk detection abilities, fairness and sustainability of the E-Commerce ecosystem, content and commodity quality to drive improvement.

Responsibiilities
- Develop efficient and reliable data transformations for various use cases, including reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis.
- Architect and implement scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems to support core products and business needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists to optimize data processing, feature engineering, and model deployment.
- Establish best practices and solid design principles for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Presto, Flink).
- Experience in designing and architecting ETL pipelines, data systems, and workflows.
- Proficient in schema design, data modeling, and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience with data ingestion, integration, and performing data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience with large-scale distributed systems and Big Data projects.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable data systems in a product environment.
- Expertise in optimizing ETL processes and managing complex data workflows.
- Familiarity with data privacy, security standards, and governance in data engineering.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for SQL queries and data systems.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
