Flexible work arrangements are available for this position, including the ability to work remotely. Remote work for individuals who reside outside Texas but within the United States and its territories will be considered and requires Central Office approval.
This position provides life/work balance with typically a 40-hour work week and travel limited to training (e.g., conferences/courses).

This position requires you to maintain a mobile phone with voice and data plans to be used when required for work.
Purpose
The Data Communication Specialist will administer and maintain Voice Services systems programming, record keeping systems related to cable records, trouble ticketing, MAC orders and perform Customer Service interactions to support these efforts.
Responsibilities
- Program and maintain Voice Services Systems (Voicemail, Auto-Attendants, Queues, and Voice PBX) maintaining accuracy.
- Administer and maintain accurate record keeping in cable management system for Networking & Telecom cabling plant. Work with technicians, maintain proficiency and provide data as needed for infrastructure growth planning.
- Administer and maintain work order, trouble ticket systems and ServiceNow, maintaining proficiency. Ensure compliance with service SLA's on requests and trouble tickets.
- Review cabling manifests, test results, footages, and other related infrastructure details in the as-builts and create outlet schemes for ITS and capital projects. Provide punch lists to ITS Facilities Design as needed.
- Assist ITS Business Office and customers on best practices and solutions for their telephone systems as needed to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Coordinate special projects and events as requested.
- Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years Customer Service experience
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
