Maintenance Technician-Sunset Apartments

Sunset Apartments in Quincy, IL  is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

• Full Time 40 hour position
• 7:00am-3:30pm with on call requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, etc. 
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and functional condition.
• Respond quickly to work orders & repair requests to minimize disruptions for residents.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems to reduce downtime.
• Assist with emergency maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with staff and management to maintain a clean and secure environment.
• Maintain the facility’s landscaping, including mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and planting.
• Ensure walkways, driveways, and outdoor common areas are clean and free from debris, snow, or other hazards.

All one and two bedroom apartments offer a living room, private bath and kitchenette. Apartments are unfurnished except for stove and refrigerator. All apartments are handicap accessible with wide doors for easy mobility. 

Requirements

 Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: electrical, plumbing, & mechanical.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Great communication skills and a passion for working in a senior living environment.
• Availability for on-call emergencies, nights, and weekends.
