Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Operations Strategy and Data Science will be a key part of the Ops Strategy team focusing on developing operations strategies and turning opportunities into executable projects. The leader will work with stakeholders across the operations and supply chain organization to use data science and analytical techniques to support the development of strategies, support specific initiatives, provide input on long term planning and work to align all strategic efforts to our common goals and objectives.

The leader will ensure that there are clear action plans to drive efforts and work toward achieving our strategic vision. Developing and defining strategic roadmaps associated with operations and leveraging enterprise-scale data and systems and translating into opportunities is a critical part of the role. The leader will align and influence other leaders within and outside the Operations & Supply Chain function, including Engineering, Finance, Strategic Business Units, etc., including presentation to functional leaders. This is a key strategy influence role, where the individual will be helping guide the development of strategies, the messaging of priorities, closing actions and achieving results.

What You Will Do:

  • Engage with the Operations Strategy & Transformation Team and the OSCQ (Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality) organization to deliver insights and recommendations from data and information for critical priorities and initiatives.
  • Develop data-driven strategies by partnering with OSCQ leadership to translate complex business challenges into data science problems, developing and implementing data-driven strategies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to identify, collect, and preprocess large, diverse datasets from various systems ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Apply data science techniques to develop and deploy models and apply statistical methods to measure impact and provide statistically sound recommendations.
  • Create compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings and actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with other data scientists and analysts to integrate analyses, predictive models etc into dashboards.
  • Assist other team members in developing and driving the best approaches to enable the business.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data science methods, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Experience leading data science and analytics projects in a manufacturing, supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC and data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. .

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience on a strategy team supporting development of effective strategies
  • Applied Machine Learning experience (regression, classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning) with a strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
  • Experience in time-series data analysis, including cleansing and normalization
  • Ability to drive projects independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to organizational goals.
