Position Overview:
The Vice President of Motion Picture Strategic Systems & Business Resources group will be responsible for overseeing the design and strategic implementation of all technology and process initiatives on behalf of the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. These initiatives will serve to enhance business capabilities through the innovative use of technology-driven solutions and streamlined processes for all worldwide motion picture operations. This position will be a leadership role within the organization and require effectively communicating with executives responsible for all worldwide territories as well as other WB divisions, while applying in-depth knowledge of theatrical functions to maintain and evolve business capabilities with an eye towards continual process improvement. The role will manage an experienced team of WBMPG staff and partner closely with the Enterprise and Monetization Technology teams overall responsible for leading the design and development of the business solutions and supporting the WBMPG applications portfolio
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of motion picture operations to develop business processes and administer business systems, including verification of data in key informational systems. Coordinate planning and execution throughout all phases of various system deployments.
- Recommend future state/enhancements for various operational and reporting systems across all worldwide motion picture business lines and partner with WBD T&O Teams to design, develop and implement
- Manage strategic relationships with key data service vendors and develop strategy to consolidate and aggregate data from multiple key systems for robust internal analysis and planning.
- Coordinate and ensure accountability for consistent reporting results and messaging to leadership.
- Partner with respective WBD T&O teams to investigate new capabilities, vendors, and technologies for use in launching new, and improving existing, processes across all internal and partner workflow teams, e.g., WBITV, HBO Max, etc. Develop business cases / rationale in support of the new technology capabilities.
- Collaborate with other WB, WBD and corporate divisions to set and maintain standards for collaborative platforms and solutions.
- Develop with WBD T&O teams, the Motion Picture strategy for both internal and vendor solutions identifying best practices for optimal spend-analysis, industry requirements, communication, and integration across the theatrical and home entertainment windows.
- Single point of contact with Legal, Enterprise & Monetization Technology and Content Protection for developing business requirements and use cases for the development, implementation and integration of new/improved vendor solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: BA/BS degree in related area preferred; MBA is a plus
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required, inclusive of business planning and administration, system development and implementation.
- Project Management: Strong business process and project management skills essential
- Systems Knowledge: Extensive PC knowledge is required, including knowledge of distribution and marketing systems in the entertainment industry and proficiency in working with SaaS solutions and B2B products.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the motion picture industry and current market dynamics. Experience working in or with entertainment studios.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team to achieve excellent results.
- Organizational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on understanding gaps in products and processes, ideating and implementing new products and processes.
