For more information, visit <u><a href="http://wpp.com/" data-outlook-id="9689dc0a-1e79-4d8e-b697-081cde8be8f0">WPP.com</a></u>.</p></div><h3> </h3> <h3>The opportunity</h3> <p>Magento senior backend engineer required to work in an experienced team of software architects and developers, to be responsible for the design, development and testing of quality code to meet customer driven specifications.</p> <h3>What you’ll be doing<strong><br></strong></h3> <ul> <li>Working within a project team, to deliver high quality code to deadlines.</li> <li>To clearly communicate what is to be done and the milestones achieved to those within the project in an agreed manner.</li> <li>To realistically estimate your own delivery timescales.</li> <li>To solve problems posed using the tools and materials provided or to suggest alternatives where appropriate.</li> <li>To create robust solutions using the tools and materials provided or to suggest alternatives where appropriate</li> <li>Take some responsibility from and can deputise for the senior/lead developer.</li> <li>Lead small technical discussions on problem solving and solution design.</li> <li>To mentor junior developers.</li> <li>To be a motivated self-starter.</li> </ul> <h3>What we want from you</h3> <ul> <li>Leading the development, and Implementation of Magento e-commerce solutions.</li> <li>Experience with Integrating other Magento and non-Magento systems.</li> <li>Performing code reviews and mentoring junior developers.</li> <li>Extensive Magento development experience.</li> <li>Extensive experience coding in PHP /Java language.</li> <li>Experience with Data structures.</li> <li>Exposure to Web technologies.</li> <li>Object oriented software design patterns experience.</li> <li>Some understanding of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.</li> <li>Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating system.</li> <li>Strong spoken and written communication.</li> </ul> <h3>If you know some of this even better</h3> <ul> <li>
