JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Fundraising will report directly to the Director of Fundraising for the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program at Step Up For Students. This role is responsible for serving as a liaison between internal staff, managing multiple campaigns to encourage donor education and pledges, and supporting efforts to raise hundreds of millions of dollars in tax credit donations. The Senior Manager will play a key role in executing the fundraising strategy, fostering collaboration, and ensuring campaign success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
◦ Act as the primary liaison between fundraising leadership and internal staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment on campaign goals and processes.
◦ Manage and execute multiple donor education and pledge campaigns across digital, print, and in-person platforms.
◦ Support the Director of Fundraising in cultivating donor relationships and developing innovative fundraising initiatives.
◦ Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to deliver consistent messaging and brand alignment for all campaigns.
◦ Monitor campaign performance, track KPIs, and report progress to leadership.
◦ Assist in the stewardship and recognition of donors, including personalized communications and event planning.
◦ Ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance in all fundraising activities.
◦ Collaborate with volunteers, board members, program staff, and external partners to support fundraising goals.
◦ Contribute to risk management and ethical compliance within fundraising operations.
◦ Collaborate with multiple internal senior leaders to ensure success with specific campaigns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
◦ Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
◦ Demonstrated success and a proven track record in professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries, and military service can substitute for the formal education requirements.
◦ Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or campaign management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
◦ Proven success in managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives.
PREFERRED:
◦ Experience with individual tax credit fundraising or large-scale donor campaigns.
◦ Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising technologies.
