About the Role
The Sr. Manager, NA Strategic Sourcing will manage Hach’s Strategic Sourcing team in Loveland, Colorado. This Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for managing long-term commodity and supplier management strategies for Electronics, Key Technologies, Mechanical (Plastics, Metals, & MRO), and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) commodity categories in North America. The Sr. Manager, NA Strategic Sourcing is responsible for achieving strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating a world-class supply base to support the manufacturing of water quality applications for lab and process instruments for Hach’s wastewater, drinking water, and industrial water customers. The leader in this role is expected to conduct job responsibilities with the highest level of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute strategic and technical leadership with a focus on communication, people development, and a team-centric approach, including intentional and thoughtful investment in developing talent within NA Strategic Sourcing team.
- Improve and execute supply base management strategies, including supplier performance management and supplier risk management.
- Responsibility for owning, achieving, and countermeasuring KPIs for Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Supplier On-time Delivery (OTD), Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) with an understanding on how these KPIs impact Hach’s core value drivers (CVDs).
- Develop and foster a culture of continuous improvement and apply rigorous use of problem-solving techniques to resolve systemic and critical supplier issues quickly and completely.
- Serve as primary liaison between Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, New Product Innovation (NPI), Transportation & Logistics, and Veralto Corporate Procurement.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes, products and services, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge regarding global market conditions affecting all commodity categories, supply chain, develop and defend strategy with data, and align commodity strategies to ensure meeting business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain, Master’s degree in business administration or supply chain management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position with proven success in people management, and possess a keen interest in developing people, teams, and business processes
- Demonstrated experience with lean tools and processes
- Minimum of 10 years of supply chain experience preferred
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
- Experienced in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
