Work Hours: Monday - Friday 0700-1600

The Neurology APRN/PA may provide care to this population of patients consistent with medical staff Bylaws, policies and procedures; and facilitate inpatient admissions. Privileges as a Neurology APRN/PA include, but are not limited to, the ability to diagnose and provide treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings as follows:

Initial and ongoing assessment of patients’ medical, physical and psychosocial status, including the following:
1. Obtain a relevant health and medical history
2. Perform a physical examination based on age and history
3. Conduct preventive screening procedures based on age and history
4. Identify medical and health risks and needs
5. Dictate Discharge Summaries
6. Hospital Rounds
7. Update and record changes in health status
8. Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings
9. Identify the needs of the individual as a result of evaluation of collected data
10. Order appropriate diagnostic tests
11. Identify appropriate pharmacologic agents or non-pharmacologic therapies according to the accompanying collaborating physician approved protocol
