Occupational Safety Intern

Principle duties of the Safety and Environmental Intern would involve a mix of technical and administrative tasks, largely dependent upon the current business needs and activities. For this term, these duties will include:

• Assisting in the hazard and risk assessment of existing and new production processes; in particular conducting risk assessments of the Smart Factory fabrication and powder coating production processes and TruLaser Tube fabrication and assembly processes.

• Conducting workplace and equipment safety inspections in the production buildings.

• Conducting industrial hygiene assessments, including exhaust ventilation, noise, and air quality assessments.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to work as a team player.

Education

Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field.
