JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Regulatory Risk Management, is responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory risk within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, mitigating risks, and guiding the organization through complex regulatory landscapes. The Senior Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure coherent and reliable results and will report directly to senior leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will handle regulatory risk management strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and technical risks in the US, Canada, Brazil and other Latin American countries which may affect Shiseido businesses, including but not limited to Federal/State/Local level legislation for cosmetic products, ingredients/fragrances (chemical substances), packages, and tools.
- You will conduct risk assessments on the information gathered to identify potential regulatory issues and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Advise senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and compliance strategies.
- You will provide thought leadership and expertise to ensure robust product development.
- Under the guidance of the Regulatory VP, you will connect with the execution department to ensure implementation within regulatory deadlines and take responsibility for confirming the compliance in the end. If there are issues with the system, raise them and work with cross-functional departments to establish appropriate mechanisms
- You will establish, modify, and introduce new workflows, timelines, databases, and systems to comply with new requirements, update SOPs, and implement them.
- You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with local and global regulations. Communicate regulatory information and updates to relevant stakeholders, including senior management and internal teams, in a timely and effective manner.
- You will oversee and participate in regulatory audits and investigations, ensuring compliance with regulations and addressing any findings or concerns with effective solutions.
- You will promote collaboration among regions regarding quality risk cases, product recalls, or audits.
- You will manage and develop a team of regulatory affairs professionals, Expats, Global Trainees, providing guidance, topical education, training, and mentorship to ensure their effective performance and career growth.
- You will analyze and set goals based on the results of the annual Global Employee Engagement Survey. Identify areas for improvement, address employee concerns, and ultimately champion engagement within the work environment.
