Principal Engineer - Workflows Architecture

About you and the role: 

As a Software Principal Engineer at SailPoint, you will be a key member of our engineering leadership team, driving the overall design and development of our Identity Security Platform, Atlas. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution. You will need to possess a deep understanding of our business landscape, including market dynamics, customer needs, and strategic goals. Your primary responsibility will be to translate this business insight into actionable technical requirements and innovative design solutions. 

You have extensive experience in designing and implementing workflows platform and complex workflows using Temporal technology and enabling automation and optimization of business processes. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the architecture, development and deployment of scalable and reliable workflow solutions. 

You are immensely passionate about platform architecture, and delivering reliable, scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products. You will interact with technical teams across SailPoint to architect systems that scale to process billions of events and support millions of users. You enjoy technical leadership, technical design and solving complex challenges as much as you enjoy getting your hands into the code.
