Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Technical Data Manager for C-17 in that has prior Defense Related Technical Data Experience.  This position will manage employees that support a broad range of subjects including technical data and training which includes Air Force component maintenance and flight manuals, commercial maintenance manuals and SMR code assignment, G0-81/CAMS/REMIS databases, maintenance reporting and repair philosophies, RM&A data/collection, DR/MIP reporting, investigations and mitigations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads planning and integration activities for profit and loss stand-alone support program(s) or major support business/program element where business needs dictate.
  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
  • Manages employees performing activities related to Program Management.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Manage both special projects with dedicated hours and LOE Sustaining effort at the same time
  • Budget Planning and Tracking
  • Fosters collaboration between teammates with varying degrees of work experience and assignment complexity/delivery timelines
  • Innovative and future looking use of digital transformation initiatives that support part data development

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience over a broad range of subjects including technical data and training which includes Air Force component maintenance and flight manuals, commercial maintenance manuals and SMR code assignment
  • In-depth knowledge G0-81/CAMS/REMIS databases, maintenance reporting and repair philosophies, RM&A data/collection, DR/MIP reporting, investigation and mitigation
  • Experience with AMC command weapon system managers making sure inspection concepts meet ACFT requirements and base level maintenance capabilities.
  • Experience with the TOMA office in coordinating all aspects for tech data with AMC and other commands
  • Experience with the C-17 Fleet Support Center with ACFT status reporting and any off stations repairs needing Boeing RAMS support
  • able to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders across the USAF, C-17 Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Management
  • Experience with C-17 S-1000D requirements
  • Experience with C-17 XML authoring environment
  • Experience with C-17 IETMS

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. (Warner Robins, GA.)
