Director, Strategic Accounts
Location: Remote/Home Working/NYC office
The CyberRisk Collaborative (CRC) is looking for a Director, Strategic Accounts to grow a territory through tenacious prospecting, consultive selling and upselling, and strong management of current and prospective clients. Cybersecurity Collaboration Forums is the nation’s fastest growing community of CISOs and other cybersecurity executives. Our success is rooted in a community-centric methodology that has earned the trust and loyalty of our members and creates unique value for our technology partners: CRC’s offerings include Executive Boardroom dinners, One-day Leadership Exchange events, and digital opportunities focused on thought leadership and branding.
This role requires energy in researching, engaging, prospecting, and closing new business. It also requires developing relationships with customers to encourage and foster long term, highly successful commercial relationships with CRA. The ideal candidate will use a consultative sales approach to understand their client’s needs and effectively map our solutions to their client’s marketing objectives.
Additionally, this individual will have had experience selling some combination of events such as conferences, trade shows, or intimate roundtables, in a B2B sales environment.
We are a high-performance team looking for someone who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing business and growing an account list.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly develop a solid understanding of the cybersecurity marketplace and the key market drivers
- Understand key product differentiators and CRA’s USPs in a highly competitive and crowded cyber security event landscape.
- Identify, develop, and close new business for the products within the CRA Learning portfolio.
- Strategically grow a customer base through re-engaging dormant accounts, renewing and upselling current accounts, and focusing on large potential clients not currently working in our portfolio.
- Effectively communicate CRA Learning’s value proposition through a thorough understanding of the entire portfolio, competitive landscape, and full understanding of customer goals.
- Develop and evolve a territory sales plan to achieve revenue goals.
- Hit/exceed event and territory revenue targets.
- Work with team to help share customer insights and feedback.
- Diligently enter, maintain, and keep fully up to date, opportunities, sales, and weighted pipeline status within the CRA CRM system
- Expert client service and custom support as needed with an ability to identify and resolve client concerns
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of sales experience in the trade show, conference, or live event space
- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to forge relationships with clients, understand their objectives and recommend optimal strategies.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM system a plus
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working independently.
- Ability to anticipate needs, innovate, and flourish in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel to regional events across the US
Profile of Ideal Candidate
- Deep understanding of event and conference sales.
- Understanding of b2b marketing solutions including custom content, research, and advertising a plus.
- Knowledge the IT and cybersecurity markets.
- Highly organized, motivated self-starter, multi-tasker, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, inquisitive and curious executive, with ability and interest to perform in a
