Automotive Parts Assistant: Chester Springs, PA:

CarShop US-Penske Automotive Group is seeking a hardworking Parts Assistant who will be the face-to-face representative of the Parts Department to the Service Technicians and Service Managers.

What Will You Do?

• The Automotive Parts Assistant is responsible for the shop sales and maintaining the parts inventory.
• He/She will search for the best price, order, and distribute the correct part in a timely manner, which has a direct impact on the ability of the Service Technician to complete the service in accordance with the expectations set by the Service Managers.
• The ideal candidate will maintain the good relationships that CarShop has created with our current vendors, and he/she will seek to expand our vendor base.
• The Automotive Parts Counterperson will proactively communicate the status of the orders with all affected Service Technicians and Departments.

What Skills Do you Bring?

• The successful candidate is organized and has an acute attention to detail.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays.
• He/She has ample computer skills, and has a working knowledge of Ebay.
• The Parts Counterperson will have a demonstrated knowledge of automotive parts.
• The successful candidate will exemplify integrity, strive for self-improvement, and have an open-minded, "can-do" attitude.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug testing, and hold a valid driver's license with a good driving history.

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts department including, but not limited to, hazardous waste disposal, emergency response, safe driving, and OSHA Right-to-Know
• Ability to ensure use of proper safety equipment
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
