ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Manager to join our team in the Patuxent River, MD area. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform as overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort and manage multiple teams.

• Direct efforts of cross-competency teams to include personnel operating at multiple locations nationwide.

• Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with the customer program authorities and technical representatives for all program/project matters.

• Regularly brief senior leadership on program status and milestones.

• Oversee contract personnel and program/project operations by developing / improving standard operating procedures, plan for and direct execution of technical, programmatic, maintenance, and administration of the support effort; to include monitoring and reporting progress.

• Manage the acquisition and employment of program/project resources and control financial and administrative aspects of the program/projects with respect to contractual requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or MA degree in a Business, Management, engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, physics, or a related scientific discipline.

• At least twelve (12) years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, at least three (3) years of which must be recent and relevant to Navy Acquisition management.

• Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to Naval Aviation missions and systems.

• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series. 

• Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager at a NAVAIR PMA

• Developmental or Operational Test experience with Naval Aviation platforms or weapons

• Graduate of a warfare center of excellence (TOPGUN, MAWTS-1, FWS, EAWS,
