The Oracle Local Government Business Unit is in the process of designing & developing a suite of SaaS applications for the state & local government markets using cutting edge technologies. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives.
Who You Are:
The Payroll Consultant role is a challenging, exciting opportunity for you to develop and implement solutions for our new NetSuite for Government product within our growing business unit. In this role you will work with multiple NetSuite for Government customers and be responsible for the successful design and delivery of business solutions. You will work with a strong project team of leaders in the Oracle Local Government Business Unit, Product, Development, Training and Support organizations to focus on delivering a world-class implementation of Oracle software and products.
You will use your experience in Government and Municipal HR & Payroll to identify customer needs and delivery of a successful implementation plan. You will work internally to refine and develop collateral to ensure success of future implementations. You will work with customers to configure and design workflows and reports in the NetSuite for Government product. You will use your strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders and customers.

What you will do:
- Own and deliver Oracle NetSuite for Government business solutions for the customer
- Use your background in government HR & Payroll to identify and solve critical project objectives
- Develop trusted relationships with customers, set expectations, provide meaningful and timely communication, and deliver on promises and commitments
- You will partner with Product, Development, and Support to define and develop implementation tools and practices for future project.
- Methodically manage complex business and logistical challenges
- Provide regular status on deliverables and milestones to the project team and to the customer
- Exercise creativity, independent judgment, and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques
- Exhibit strong executive presence and ability to interact with key project sponsors
What you've done:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 5 years) work experience
- 3+ years working on complex cloud and SaaS projects to successful delivery
- 3+ years in a government HR & Payroll including familiarity with FLSA rules, complex leave calculations, state retirement systems and fund accounting terminology and processes
- Experience using modern ERP or HCM solution
- Proven self-starter that proactively develops working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Experienced with gap analysis, risk mitigation, issue documentation, tracking and prioritization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Shown comfort working in rapid paced environments with evolving expectations and priorities
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time depending on need
It would be awesome if you also had:
- PM Methodology certification
- Knowledge/familiarity with Oracle products and services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Management experience, hiring and developing a team

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
