Job Title: Human Resource Assistant
Department: Human Resources
General Summary of Duties: A non-exempt clerical position responsible for assisting in functions related to general human resources responsibilities.
Supervision Received: Reports to Human Resource Manager
Supervision Exercised: None
Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Occasional stress from varying demands. Must be able to work independently.
Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed in a busy office environment. Frequent contact with employees, patients, physicians and outside agencies. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Essential Functions: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with Verifications of Employment.
- Assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and policies.
- Support the enrollment and communication of employee benefits programs.
- Help ensure compliance with labor laws and healthcare regulations.
- Prepare reports related to HR metrics and employee data as needed.
PAY RANGE: $23-$25/hr to start (dependent upon experience and education)

Qualifications
Education: Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum: Two years of experience in administrative assistant position, preferable in health care.
