Technical Program Manager, Edge Infrastructure

About the Team

The infrastructure team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters as well as vastly distributed global edge networks. To support the fast growth and manage the massive content on the platform, our infrastructure team is building hyber-scale datacenters globally which host hundreds of thousands of servers.



Responsibilities:

- Lead the creation of the Build, Operations and Maintenance Plans for all global Bytedance PoPs

- Work on operational issues including RMA and repairs for all network and server equipment.

- Drive and manage multiple projects around optimizing PoP build outs, improving documentation and building new tools

- Lead Day 2 Operations, Repair Troubleshooting, and Maintenance improvement strategies

- Design and deliver large-scale network projects composed of dark fiber, leased waves, IP transit and peering circuits, colo space, power, cross connects, point of presence and content delivery networks build

- Work on optimizing operational processes and designing more efficient workflows
