We are currently searching for a talented Senior Accountant to join and grow with our Finance team! This position would be a great fit for an individual with a tenacious and proactive mindset.

The SEH Finance team actively partners with operations and leadership to ensure the company is on track for success. This Opportunity:

  • Responsible for overall maintenance and reporting of fixed assets and leases. Create and upload related journal entries. Reconcile accounts monthly. Develop process improvements.
  • Research and develop options for tracking asset locations and usage. Implement agreed upon solutions. Maintain the process and propose adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare and file Personal Property Tax reports. Ensure payments are made. Improve tracking and related processes.
  • Review each week’s check run prior to payment to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols. Suggest process improvements.
  • Preform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Sales & use tax preparation.
  • Various journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Participate in annual external financial statement audit and other audits.

Essential Qualifications:

  • All offers of employment for this position are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check which meets company standards. This will be conducted post-offer acceptance.
  • Four (4) year degree with major in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Strong, demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries and assisting with audits
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • During the interview process, candidates may be asked to complete a relevant accounting exercise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of working at a company that has multiple subcompanies
  • Working with Loans/Leases
  • Experience with the following software: AEC360, Quickbooks, LeaseQuery
  • Past experience going through an ERP implementation/transition
  • Independent Thinker
