General Notes

This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Ability to work remotely within the state of Texas.

Purpose

This position will serve as a senior project manager for a state initiative to provide early childhood mental health consultation to child care organizations within counties impacted by natural disasters and to continue to strengthen the early childhood mental health consultation workforce. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate individual and group training and provide technical assistance to community implementation sites to support the effective delivery of infant and early childhood mental health consultation services in targeted communities.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders and state organizations to develop strategic approaches that advance policy, funding, and workforce development efforts, enhancing access to high-quality infant and early childhood mental health consultation services across Texas.
  • Partner with team members and staff in related early childhood projects to support training, communication, and evaluation efforts that build state capacity.
  • Collaborate with community partners to facilitate budgeting, invoicing, and subaward processing in coordination with the Principal Investigator.
  • Participate in regular project management meetings. Maintain up-to-date work plans. Participate in annual budget development 
  • Oversee the development of programmatic reports for funding agencies. Contribute to evaluation and other program reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, public health, or related health and human service field with at least 5 years experience in project management. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in social work, psychology, public health, or related health and human service field with at least 5 or more years of experience in early childhood systems. Experience in infant and early childhood consultation and technical assistance. Excellent research, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills. Experience in state policy or program development.

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000 - depending on qualifications

  • M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm
