ROLE OVERVIEW

To enhance the quality and integrity of Psychological and Neuropsychological Testing (PNT) services across all assigned regions through implementation of the organization’s clinical goals, procedures, protocols, and workflows in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values. Primarily via hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and quality assurance of clinical work provided by clinicians in PNT, as well as clinical risk management, compliance, and quality control of work provided by both clinicians and psychometrists.

COMPENSATION: $120,000 - $150,000/year

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting—Reports key performance records and data to national and regional leadership; monitors clinical goals and performance and develops corresponding action plans
  • Hiring & Onboarding—Responsible for interviewing and onboarding PNT clinicians; assist in hiring and onboarding of psychometrists.
  • Training—Guide local training process for clinicians on protocols, policies, and programming related to clinical or operational excellence. Facilitate local training process for psychometrists
  • Staffing & Utilization—Partner with Practice Operations to address goals for clinician and psychometrist starts, productivity, and total utilization; monitors scheduling and clinician availability across sites; forecasts regional clinical needs and develops plans accordingly
  • Performance Management—Adhere to clinical standards and policies. Assess clinician and psychometrist work quality. Monitor benchmarks and metrics for clinician and performance reviews; partner with Human Resources and Practice Operations regarding performance improvement plans and/or terminations
  • Quality Control, Risk Management, and Compliance—Conduct chart reviews and provide coaching and education as needed. Investigate adverse clinical events, prompt investigation and resolution, escalates potential to national teams (e.g., Senior Clinical Director PNT, National Clinical Integrity Team, Regulatory/Compliance Team)
  • Peer Support—Lead regular (weekly, bimonthly, or monthly) peer consultation forum of patient cases to solicit input, support, and shared learning. Facilitate local continuing education opportunities (e.g., lunch and learns), together with national leadership
  • Retention—Drive retention of clinicians and psychometrists by conducting check-ins and stay interviews as well as offering availability and intervening with those deemed at high risk of attrition
  • Cross-functional Collaboration—ensure that PNT policies and processes requiring cross-functional collaboration are implemented and consistently followed (e.g., EHR clinical documentation, billing and coding, test material ordering, safe and accessible office space for testing)
  • Caseload—Maintain a caseload as permitted by administrative time spent  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Doctoral degree in psychology
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Supervision and clinical leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to provide formulative feedback and resolve conflicts
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
