Medical Assistant (Pier Diem)

Company Description

Busy dermatology practice in East Brunswick, NJ is searching for a reliable Per Diem Medical Assistant/MOHS Assistant to perform clinical duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant/MOHS Assistant will assist in surgeries, maintain patient records and explain common medical procedures to patients.

Job Description

• Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
• Preparing MOHS paperwork and instruments, assisting during procedures, bandaging, suture removal, educating patients on wound care.
• Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

• High level of professionalism
• Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems
• Excellent computer and phone skills

Job Type:

• Per Diem Monday -Thursday availability 7am-7pm
• Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
• Fast Paced

Experience:

• Experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
• Dermatology experience.
• Experience in MOHS assistance.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant Certification
