About the role

Overview

The Regional Director of Care Management (RDCM) provides oversight to ensure compliance and quality of services for individuals enrolled in Care Design New York (CDNY) CCO/HH. The Regional Director is responsible to promote the mission and values of the organization and to ensure services provided meet or exceed any regulatory standards governing the applicable Care Management program.

The Regional Director is the primary contact with IDD service providers in the assigned region. They are expected to build relationships with a variety of personnel to ensure strong relationships are developed and maintained. Additionally, the Regional Director is expected to understand the healthcare landscape, develop key relationships, and identify broad gaps in service.

As the leader of a region, the Regional Director is responsible for the oversight and professional development of staff. They are expected to lead by example and create an environment and culture that promotes the values of CDNY. They will collaborate with other departments to ensure that all members’ needs are adequately met and that the organization is coordinated in its efforts and intended outcomes.

The Regional Director will fully support the culture of CDNY through the training, coaching, and development of care management staff, continuously directing initiatives and operating procedures which lead towards enhanced skills and job satisfaction. They will fully support methods and technology that provide for the highestquality of caremanagement and person-centered servicesformembers. The Regional Director isresponsible for promoting positive employee engagement and a culture of belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision to CM Directors and oversight to the regional workforce, including:o hiring, on-boarding, training, professional development, performance evaluation and progressive discipline,o direction of staff development, performance improvement and retention activities in coordination with recruiting and human resources,o training on all CDNY and/or PHP policies and procedures, and all state and federalregulations.• Facilitates efficiency and quality checks on regional care management teams, tools, and resources. Where needed, recommends improvement to the platforms and tools utilized.• Collaborates in the development of the strategic direction of the Regional Care Management team in alignment with organizational goals.• Ensures all plan and population-based quality of care standards are met through development, preparation, review, and presentation of operational data systems, including the identification of gaps, and the creation and implementation of action plans.• Where applicable, monitors budgets, staffing needs, reviews, and approves expenses.• Develops and maintains strong relations with NYS OPWDD and regional offices as well as external providers of medical, behavioral health, I/DD, and other long-term supports and services. Collaborates with the NDPR department to support continued growth and quality of the regional provider network.• Works with Members, families, and external stakeholders (ex., Advocacy and Family Supports, and/or the Ombudsperson) to resolve issues and promote satisfaction; supports regional Care
