Energy Solutions is currently seeking a highly experienced Vice President to lead our Energy Efficiency Department of over 100 employees. As Vice President you will provide strategic direction, oversee all aspects of the department’s operations and collaborate with senior executives to achieve the company's objectives. The ideal leader is someone with strategic vision, experience leading large multigenerational teams towards successful outcomes, a natural problem solver with a high level of accountability, regularly exercises sound judgement, relationship builder with a high emotional intelligence and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement, ensure accountability, and achieve results
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure we exceed our clients’ expectations and maintain our high client satisfaction standard.
- Collaborate with senior and executive leadership in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and leadership development
- Translate strategy into actionable goals and execute relevant projects/initiatives aligned with the organization's goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess and improve policies, systems, and processes throughout the organization
- Continue to grow the group and the company at a sustainable rate. Retain, cross sell and win new work to support departments intentional growth.
- Business Unit financial performance including all programs in the EE department portfolio
- Report regularly to the President and C-suite on the organization's performance, opportunities, and challenges. Strategic thought partner to the C-Suite and Executive Vice President.
- Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team
- Structure, recruit, and manage a high-performing leadership team, developing and motivating team members and ensuring proper bench strength. Serve as a leader and role model and create working environments where employees are equipped and driven to excel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field
- MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience leading successful high-performing multigenerational teams
- Proven and sustained experience in project management and business development
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of adapting style to different audiences and stakeholders, both internally and externally representing the company in front of customers
- Problem solver with a hands-on approach and the ability to anticipate adverse scenarios with thoughtful solutions to address them
- Ability to make quick decisions and generate buy-in from leadership team members
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strategic vision and good professional judgement to plan, negotiate and win profitable contracts, manage risk and execute plans in an effective manner
