2026 Tax Internship in Tampa, FL

Description

The goal of our Internship program is to bring your education to life with practical hands-on experience. Our interns are trained and matched with a peer to help guide them to success and each intern will receive feedback on their progress throughout the internship. Our internships are paid and you will be eligible to receive college credit.

Interns would work from the Tampa, Florida office.

Requirements

We are currently offering a 2026 spring tax internship from January through April 2026. We can be flexible with school schedules as well as any personal time off needed. However, we do require that you work at least 24+ hours a week.

In the beginning, there will be a lot to absorb, especially when learning new software and processes, so be patient and bring a positive attitude with you every day. You will receive training on the software and the process for completing the work. Your ability to build on the knowledge you gain from one engagement/project to the next will be key to your success. You will have a combination of assigned and project work to keep you busy throughout your internship.

You will work with a dedicated mentor and have exposure to other key individuals within the firm. You can expect to receive real client work and meet clients as part of your learning experience. There will be an opportunity to meet business professionals from the community and learn how business development works. During your final week, you will receive feedback on your progression throughout your internship. We will fill out your school's paperwork to receive credit (if needed) for the experience that you receive and the contributions you have made during your internship with Saltmarsh.
