Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

Leads the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff.• Advise and assist staff on problem solving patient/customer issues.• Assist Director in scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments• Address issues associated with clinic operations• May act as an ophthalmic imaging preceptor.• Aids Director in a variety of areas such as but not limited to hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, identifying areas for service or operational improvement, and reinforcing established expectations from management, and scheduling.• Assists in quality control efforts for ophthalmic imaging services.• Performs the following:o Fluorescein and Indocyanine Angiographyo Fundus Photographyo External/anterior segment Photographyo OCTo Ultrasound Anterior and Posterior• Provides support such as clinic trial Photography/ OCT/ ultrasound• Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.• Travel may be required to accommodate staffing levels at other clinical facilities.• Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.• Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Medical Photographer, with at least 1 year working as Medical Photographer with the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University.• High School diploma required.• Evidence of organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.• Demonstrative effectiveness in conveying information both in writing and verbally.• Demonstrates an understanding of job responsibilities and uses appropriate knowledge and skills to effectively complete work.• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.• Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.• Position serves as a facilitator in change management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.• Demonstrates courtesy to others and promotes mutual respect.Preferences:• Certified Optical Coherence Tomographer• Familiarity with Zeiss, Topcon, Optos, and Heidelberg photographic systems, as well as with the operation of Ophthalmic Ultrasound A and B mode; Clinical competence with multiple OCT systems.• Associate Degree or higher preferred

Pay Range

USD $23.37 - USD $35.06 /Hr.
