Escrow Specialist I

Basic Description:  

The Escrow Specialist is responsible for performing routine operational duties related to residential mortgage loans in compliance with the Flat Branch's policies, procedures and related laws and regulations. Position is responsible for efficient and accurate processing of loan escrow disbursements which may include real estate taxes, homeowners insurance, private mortgage insurance, and escrow analysis functions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for having knowledge of escrow accounts, and all related functions to properly communicate with borrowers.
• Review, process and maintain escrow disbursements, records, and accounts.
• Make adjustments, corrections, and changes to records within defined authority, and/or escalates to the appropriate level for resolution using the authority matrix.  
• Maintain a working understanding of and comply with applicable banking regulations and policies.
• Capable of backing up and supporting all other aspects of the department.
• Any other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• 1-2 years of mortgage experience preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years of relevant customer service experience.
