Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment.  Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, and security. Do you want to build great things in a vibrant, smart, high energy team? Are you looking for a role to have a bigger technical impact? We are looking for Software Engineer with strong programming and design skills to join our chaos engineering development team.  The ideal candidate will be technically strong and must have an understanding of large-scale distributed systems (cloud-based environments).

 

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a software development environment
• Development experience in Java, Python, SQL, object oriented programming and scripting languages
• Knowledge of Cloud Technology and Infrastructure concepts 
• Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
• Comfortably in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, BitBucket 
• Knowledge of Scrum & Agile Methodologies
• Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
