Senior Security Engineer

Description

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a key leader in maintaining the security posture of our systems and ensuring compliance with the Department of Defense (DOD) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) policies and requirements. Your extensive experience, critical thinking skills, and deep technical knowledge will contribute to our ongoing commitment to safeguarding our critical infrastructure 

Requirements

To excel in this senior-level position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience supporting system security authorization processes in compliance with DOD's and DHA's NIST RMF-related policies and requirements.
• At least 5 years of technical experience related to system and/or network administration and/or cybersecurity operations.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification required in accordance with DoDI 8140 / DoDD 8570 requirements (IAM/IAT Level 2).
• CISSP, CAP, CYSA, CISM, MSCE, or equivalent certification required.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with DOD RMF A&A artifacts, network architecture, network and security management, and monitoring tools, as well as penetration test tools.
• A four-year college degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (Additional years of experience may serve in lieu of a degree).
• Proficiency in Powershell, Tanium, SCAP, NMAP, SQL Developer, Forescout, and/or Splunk.
• Experience with deploying and hardening Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, Server 2019.
• Experience with large enterprise-level IT systems, including the maintenance of servers, storage devices, and applications.
• Active DOD Secret security clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver technical presentations and communicate with non-technical personnel across various organizations and functional groups.
