The Postdoctoral Associate performs scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Postdoctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.

DEPARTMENT PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar.
Experience:
Completed PhD. No postdoctoral experience is required. If any, it should not be more than 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The selected candidate will study mitochondrial biogenesis and function in health and disease using human cell lines as well as the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism. We are interested in diverse molecular processes ranging from mitochondrial RNA structures to regulation of mitochondrial translation and the process of respiratory chain enzymes assembly. The selected candidate should be able to perform all kind of molecular biology and cell biology work. Experience in structural studies is a plus.
