Position Summary

Performs detailed Corrective Action Program (CAP) investigations and analysis using established formal causal evaluation methods and tools. Collaborates with departments within Power Generation to develop effective corrective action plans for identified issues. Provides analyses and reporting of adverse trends. Develops quality management systems and plans for process improvement to assure quality assurance and quality control measures are implemented. Evaluates effectiveness of, and recommends improvements in business process, practice, and procedures.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Auburn, Fresno or Sacramento based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $​85,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​127,000

&/OR​

California Minimum: $​81,000

California Maximum: $​121,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Functional Area CAP Support.
  • Conducts CAP investigations and analyses of primarily moderate complexity.
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders on moderate to complex issues/actions that are escalated and facilitates agreement of assignment and/or resolution.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and improves existing business processes within a department to meet new goals and objectives.
  • Reviews failure data, perform trend analysis, and make recommendations to improve system performance.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Job-related experience, 3 years
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent of working time

Desired:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with causal evaluation methods and investigations
  • Fault Tree Analysis Certification
  • HFACS-Human Factors Analysis Classification System certification
  • 5 Whys certification
  • ACE-Achieving Competitive Excellence certification
  • RCA-Root Cause Analysis certification
