Job Description

Must be bilingual Spanish speaking and California Licensed

The Remote Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients via telehealth or virtual platforms. They will work with a diverse caseload of patients, assessing their needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to promote improved functional abilities and independence.

Essential Functions:

• Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to determine their needs and goals.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for patients based on assessment findings.
• Intervention: Provide remote occupational therapy services, including exercises, activities, and interventions to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
• Education: Educate patients and their caregivers on techniques and strategies to enhance their independence and well-being.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other necessary documentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Compliance: Adhere to relevant ethical and legal standards and regulations, including patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
• Technology: Utilize telehealth platforms and tools effectively to conduct remote therapy sessions.
• Continuing Education: Stay current with the latest developments in occupational therapy and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy License: Hold a valid state or national Occupational Therapy license.
• Telehealth Competence: Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and document treatments.
• Empathy and Patience: Compassion and patience to work effectively with patients facing various challenges.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Education:

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Certifications:

• Maintain any required certifications and licensure in California

W2 | $45.00 - $56.00 per hour commensurate with experience, qualifications, and bilingualism.
