Job Description

As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling office properties within a commercial real estate location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and assist with access control. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises and remain highly visible. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming and secure atmosphere, embracing our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity as you interact with tenants, visitors, and staff throughout your shift.

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the office and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the commercial real estate location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
• Complete required incident and/or daily activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of six months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
