We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact. ABOUT THE ROLEThe Data Analyst position at Cupertino Electric is vital in converting complex business and technical data into actionable insights. These insights are essential for enhancing operational efficiency and informing strategic decision-making. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and business understanding to provide advanced analytics and reporting across our integrated technology stack. Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide insights into business operations, project performance, and financial metrics.
  • Conduct detailed JD Edwards ERP data analyses to support financial planning and operational decision-making.
  • Examine data from construction management platforms (Procore and ACC) to track project progress, resource allocation, and efficiency metrics.
  • Build and optimize queries in Databricks to process large datasets, supporting advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Design automated reporting solutions using Reports Now and Power BI that integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Support DevOps practices by creating and maintaining monitoring and performance dashboards.
Technical Implementation
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines in Databricks
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems across all platforms
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of existing reports and dashboards
  • Assist in data migration projects and system integrations
  • Participate in DevOps initiatives to improve reporting deployment and automation
Business Partnership
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools
  • Present findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve data accessibility and utility
 Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review). Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
