About the role

Hi. We’re Hummingbird.

We’re elevating patient access so patients can get healthcare how, when, and where they need it.  We partner with healthcare systems to transform how patients access care, enabling their providers to focus on what matters most – caring for patients. By managing patient access as a technology-enabled service, we help health systems stabilize costs and improve patient experience while creating good jobs that attract and retain talent in the industry.  Our team of experts is obsessed with the connection between the people, processes, and technology that make healthcare organizations hum. Join us and help build the healthcare experience we want for our communities, our families, and ourselves.

Summary

As a Data Architect at Hummingbird, you will design, implement, and evolve a modern, scalable, and secure data architecture to meet both internal and client-facing data and analytics needs. You’ll operate in a cloud-based environment using tools like Microsoft Fabric and Purview, ensuring our systems are designed from the ground up to support complex, multi-source integration and rapid data growth. This role is advisory in nature; you will guide architectural decisions, review pipeline designs, and ensure our data infrastructure aligns with current best practices and business goals.

In this role, you will shape the data foundation that supports Hummingbird's growth and AI-enabled future. You will work cross-functionally to ensure data systems are efficient, compliant, and thoughtfully designed, not just built to spec. You will bring strong technical judgment to guide teams toward high-quality, scalable solutions, and ensure our approach to data is as modern and forward-thinking as the company itself.
