Senior Process Engineer (Membrane Filtration)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer in the field of membrane filtration of milk and whey products. You will be part of our Global Centre of Expertise and will be working within the area of dairy product and ingredient applications based on membrane technology.  

The Senior Process Engineer will focus on designing and implementing process and application solutions. This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader. Development projects will be executed together with customers and business partners as well as internally in Tetra Pak. Therefore, the job offers the possibility to travel globally up to 35% of your time. 
This position will report to the Manager, Centre of Expertise.  
You will be based in Champlin, MN.

What you will do

• Support Technical Sales and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders  

• Working in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project 

• Develop regulatory experience/awareness with CFIA, APPS, TSSA, 3A, CSA, FDA, OSHA, etc. 

• Utilize your experience with industry standards for process piping, equipment and the installation thereof, strong understanding of automation control application, instrumentation applications, start-up/commissioning of systems, Customer Satisfaction 

• Development and testing of new membrane solutions to support the growth of the business  

We believe you have

• BS in Chemical, Food Science Engineering or Bioproducts Engineering required Experience may be considered in lieu of 5-year degree 

• Experience in food & dairy processes 

• Interest in independent practical research work in membrane technology in food production  

• Ability to read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID) 

• Dairy process Design knowledge  

• Knowledge about membrane filtration
