Warehouse Team Lead - Salt Lake City, UT

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for leading warehouse associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, storing, picking, and scanning of order.  This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):  

• Leadership of warehouse associates
• Organize stocks and maintain inventory
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Examine incoming shipments
• Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
• Oversee the sort of process to ensure it is done in a timely efficient manner
• Check, verify and fill customer invoices accurately
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Liaison with day shift transportation team
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:   

• Proven leadership in a warehouse environment
• Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Current forklift license or ability to obtain one
• High school degree or higher required

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions from team members and independent contractors, and regular high noise level.
