Responsibilities Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Application Development team. This is a 10-week program for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or recent CS graduates. The position will be in our Overland Park, KS office.
- Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications in an Enterprise environment
- Work alongside internal teams to overcome technical obstacles, answering questions and proposing solutions
- Participate in daily standups, user story breakouts, development, and retrospective meetings
- Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to participate in collaborative development projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to translate a business scenario into a technical solution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or recently graduated
- Exposed to the concepts of an Agile based development methodology or similar formal methodologies are required
- Knowledge through coursework in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, JavaScript (React and/or Node), Python, Java, Swift or similar
- Graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
- Internship runs 6/2/25 through 8/8/25
