About the Role
The Mobile Field Logistics Specialist is an on-site member of our Logistics Team in a District Sales Office. You will provide logistical support to Sales Representatives and deliver exceptional customer service to hospital staff—setting Smith+Nephew apart from competitors.
Your focus will include:
- Product delivery and pickup
- Central Processing check-in
- Inventory management and restocking
- Instrument re-setting post-surgery
A strong knowledge of our products, operating systems, and procedures is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate and execute local pickups and deliveries for time-sensitive shipments.
- Deliver products to hospitals, clinics, and other locations; ensure proper documentation.
- Check instruments into Central Processing for sterilization and manage implant placement.
- Reset instrument trays and retrieve unused implants post-surgery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs (mileage, stops, fuel/maintenance).
- Develop knowledge of existing and new products to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Communicate professionally with hospital staff, Sales Representatives, and office teams.
- Assist with office and inventory duties when not on courier assignments.
- Prepare and transport hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
- Remain flexible for overtime and emergency situations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Minimum two years of college coursework in operations, customer service, or distribution (or equivalent experience totaling four years).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic PC operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
