MSD is looking for a Special Project Foreman to join our team!
We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Special Projects Foreman to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in delivering top-tier HVAC, and refrigeration services to our commercial customers. As a Special Projects Foreman, you will oversee a wide range of installations, repairs, and removals of HVAC systems, refrigeration piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and basic control wiring. Your expertise and leadership will ensure projects are completed with precision and quality, while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency on-site. The Special Projects Foreman reports to the Special Projects Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing activities for commercial customers. These client-centric activities require an individual possessing trait of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in installing following: package and split systems, refrigeration piping, basic electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, and basic control wiring.
- EPA Refrigerant certified
- Universal Refrigeration certificate
- High School diploma or GED
- Four years technical school /Four years state certified apprenticeship program (Journeyman Level)
- Unencumbered US Driver’s license
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
Key Job Duties
- Oversee installation, repair, or removal of equipment and materials on-site, and conduct quality control inspections.
- Instruct and train subordinate personnel on proper procedures, and coordinate installation projects as needed.
- Submit daily progress reports, ensure timely delivery of materials, and manage labor hours and material documentation.
- Conduct point-of-work sales for IAQ services, unit components, replacements, and service contracts, while ensuring safety practices are followed.
- Maintain necessary qualifications and assist in the training and monitoring of new employees.
